Taegeuk Ee Jang
Taegeuk Ee Jang, the second form in the Taegeuk series of Taekwondo, consists of 18 movements
and is associated with the trigram Tae (☱), representing the lake—symbolizing inner strength and outer calm.
The form begins in the ready stance (Joon Bi).
Steps
- Turn left 90° into a walking stance (left foot forward) → left low block.
- Step forward into a front stance (right foot forward) → right middle punch.
- Turn right 180° into a walking stance (right foot forward) → right low block.
- Step forward into a front stance (left foot forward) → left middle punch.
- Turn left 90° into a walking stance (left foot forward) → right outside block.
- Step forward into a walking stance (right foot forward) → left outside block.
- Turn left 90° into a walking stance (left foot forward) → left low block.
- Right front snap kick → land in a front stance (right foot forward) → right high punch.
- Turn right 180° into a walking stance (right foot forward) → right low block.
- Left front snap kick → land in a walking stance (left foot forward) → left middle punch.
- Turn right 90° into a front stance (left foot forward) → left low block.
- Right front snap kick → land in a walking stance (right foot forward) → right middle punch.
- Left front snap kick → land in a walking stance (left foot forward) → left middle punch.
- Right front snap kick → 90° turn left → walking stance (left foot forward) → left high block.
- 270° counter-clockwise turn left → walking stance (left foot forward) → right outside block.
- 180° turn right → walking stance (right foot forward) → left outside block.
- 90° turn left → walking stance (left foot forward) → left low block → return to ready stance.
