Taegeuk Sam Jang
Taegeuk Sam Jang, the third form in the Taegeuk series, is performed on three parallel lines, each representing a segment of the form’s movements.
It is associated with the trigram Ri (☲) — representing fire — symbolizing heat, brightness, and passion.
The form should be executed with rapid, fluid motion and bursts of power, much like a flickering flame.
The floor pattern features a solid–broken–solid (☲) line arrangement, indicating that the first and third turns are made by moving the lead foot, while the middle turn pivots in place.
The form begins in the ready stance (Joon Bi).
